Venus conjunction Mars
Venus conjunction Mars is attraction and pursuit in one motion. Venus is eros, magnetism and what registers as worth having. Mars is desire and the movement toward it. At a conjunction there is no distance between noticing and going after.
It is the most straightforwardly magnetic contact in this family, and the least patient.
Two planets that do not naturally agree
They are not natural allies. Venus is in detriment in Aries and Scorpio, which are Mars’s own signs, and Mars is in detriment in Taurus and Libra, which are Venus’s. Each is uneasy in the other’s house — and a conjunction puts them both in the same one.
What comes of that is charm with an engine behind it. Taste and appetite stop being separate faculties: what appeals is pursued immediately, and the pursuing is part of what makes it appealing.

Which sign holds them alters the register completely: the same contact reads as warmth in one place and as appetite in another.
